Course Description

The Certified Overhead Crane & Rigging Specialist (COCRS) certification is a comprehensive professional training program designed for crane operators, riggers, safety managers, maintenance personnel, supervisors, inspectors, and Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) professionals responsible for overhead crane and rigging operations. This course provides participants with the knowledge and practical skills required to safely inspect, operate, maintain, and manage overhead cranes, hoists, and rigging systems while ensuring compliance with OSHA and ANSI standards.

Overhead cranes and rigging systems are essential in manufacturing, construction, warehouses, ports, utilities, steel mills, fabrication facilities, and industrial operations. However, improper inspections, unsafe lifting practices, equipment failures, and inadequate operator training can result in serious injuries, property damage, and costly downtime.
