Certified Conveyor Safety Manager
$595.00
Course Description
Conveyor systems are among the most widely used material-handlingsystems in industry and are found in manufacturing facilities, warehouses,
distribution centers, airports, mining operations, food processing plants,
agricultural facilities, and automated production environments. While
conveyors increase productivity and efficiency, they also present significant
hazards including nip points, pinch points, rotating shafts, pulleys, chains,
sprockets, entanglement hazards, falling materials, electrical hazards, and
hazardous energy sources. Conveyor-related incidents continue to result in serious injuries, amputations, crushing injuries, and fatalities throughout
industry.
The Certified Conveyor Safety Manager (CCSM) course provides
participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to identify conveyor
hazards, conduct conveyor risk assessments, evaluate safeguarding
requirements, implement lockout/tagout procedures, perform conveyor
inspections, and develop comprehensive conveyor safety programs. The
course examines OSHA regulations, ANSI/ASSP B20.1 Safety Standard
for Conveyors and Related Equipment, ANSI B11.0 Safety of Machinery,
ANSI Z244.1 Control of Hazardous Energy, ISO 12100 Risk Assessment,
and other recognized industry practices used to protect employees working
on or around conveyor systems.
