Certified Robotic Safety Manager
Course Description
The Certified Robotic Safety Manager (CRSM) course is an intensive four-day professional development program designed to provide participants
with the knowledge and skills necessary to identify robotic hazards,
conduct robotic risk assessments, implement safeguarding systems,
comply with OSHA requirements, and develop effective robotic safety
programs. This course examines industrial robots, collaborative robots,
Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs), Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs),
and robotic systems operating in manufacturing, warehousing, logistics,
aerospace, automotive, healthcare, and other industrial environments.
Participants will learn how OSHA machine guarding regulations, ANSI
robotic standards, ISO robotic standards, NFPA electrical requirements,
and risk assessment methodologies are applied to protect employees
working around robotic systems. The course emphasizes practical
applications, hazard recognition, safeguarding methods, incident
prevention, and compliance strategies.
What You'll Learn
- Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Understand OSHA robotic and machine guarding requirements
- Identify robot classifications and robotic system hazards
- Define robot space, safeguarded space, and restricted zones
- Apply ANSI and ISO robotic safety standards
- Conduct robotic risk assessments
- Evaluate safeguarding methods and limiting devices
- Understand collaborative robot applications
- Analyze functional safety requirements
- Apply energy isolation and lockout procedures
- Develop robotic safety management programs
