Course Description
This course has been approved by the State of California for individuals who perform the removal of asbestos roofing materials. It is an 8-hour program based on the requirements of the State of California Division of Occupational Safety and Health and is specifically designed for roofing contractor employees who may disturb asbestos-containing roofing material.Students are provided with important information about the different types of roofing materials and components that may contain asbestos, as well as the health effects associated with asbestos exposure.
The course also teaches specific measures for personal protection, engineering controls, and techniques for safely handling asbestos-containing roofing materials. Training is delivered through lectures, audiovisual aids, demonstrations, and hands-on experience to ensure practical understanding and safety compliance.
