Course Description

This 40-hour core course addresses responses to oil spills in estuarine and coastal environments. It is designed for individuals in industry, the regulatory community, and emergency response disciplines who may be required to respond to an oil spill incident.

The course utilizes classroom discussions, multimedia presentations, and practical hands-on exercises to provide essential information and training needed to effectively manage a spill-response operation. Participants will assume leadership roles and direct simulated response operations under the supervision of the instructors.
